The Nation’s Christmas Tree has been escorted through Wyoming

On November 9th, the US Capitol Christmas Tree entered Wyoming on Interstate 90 and was escorted to Sheridan by Troopers from the Wyoming Highway Patrol. As the trailer used to haul the tree measured out to 80 feet in length, it made a quick stop at the Sheridan-Dietz Port of Entry to purchase an oversize load permit. With the help of the Sheridan Police Department, the US Forest Service, and WHP Dispatch and Troopers, the tree exited into Sheridan where it spent the night.

Snapped: Birthday Lunker caught in Ocean Lake

Russell Naef, 19, was fishing on his birthday out on Ocean Lake this weekend when he reeled in this lunker of a Northern Pike. “It goes without saying that he was pretty excited,” said Mom Jeannie on Monday morning. The Pavillion teen decided he wanted to go fishing on his birthday and caught this prize right after his birthday dinner. He reportedly expressed surprise at catching the big fish as he said he didn’t know there were Northern Pike in Ocean Lake. Happy Birthday Russell!
