Arrests, DWUI-related car crash logged

A 32-year-old Riverton man was arrested by a Sheriff’s Deputy and charged with Driving While Under the Influence after the vehicle he was driving crashed and rolled over at 10:44 p.m. Thursday night on Eight Mile Road west of Riverton.  Brian Wise was also charged with Notice Required of Driver after he apparently fled the scene of the wreck.

In Riverton, Capt. Eric Murphy of the RPD said four arrests were recorded in the 24-hour period ending at 7 a.m. Friday. Taken into custody were: Aleena Davis, 30, Riverton who was arrested for larceny and on a Failure to Appear warrant; Leroy sierra, 37, Ethete, held on a Failure to Appear warrant; Houston Headley, 43, Ethete, was picked up for Public Intoxication and Collin Amos, 24, Riverton, was arrested on a Contempt of Court warrant.

Murhpy also reported that the Stuff the Bus promotion (reported earlier on held in conjunction with KVOW/KTAK radio had collected 300 toys through Thursday. Department officers will distribute the toys to children who might otherwise not receive a gift this Christmas.
