Commissioners to hear from Sheriff, Coroner and receive an update on potential Riverton Courthouse location

(Lander, Wyo.) – Fremont County Sheriff Skip Hornecker and County Coroner Ed McAuslan will update the Fremont County Commissioners on topics from their respective offices at Tuesday’s regular meeting at the courthouse and the commission will hold an afternoon executive session on potential property acquisition. . Hornecker is slated to appear before the board at 9:15 and McAuslan’s slot on the agenda is at 10:30. In between, at 10 am., Treasurer Scott Harnsberger will present employee recognition awards.

Commissioner Travis Becker will present the information on the potential property acquisition matter in the afternoon session at 2 p.m. Becker has been the lead commissioner concerning the Riverton courthouse issue and finding a long-term solution to security issues at the current building.

The commissioners are slated to proclaim 4-H week at 10:45 a.m. and conduct an interview for the Museum Board with Rena Hansen at 11 a.m. At 11:30, Lander Cycling’ Tony Ferlise will discuss trail issues with the body.

Fremont County and Prosecuting Attorney Brian Varn is slated to introduce a new deputy attorney, Tim Hancock, at 11:45 a.m. and then present a Capital Revolving Fund request.

After lunch, the commission will hear from County Planner Ray Price on proposed subdivision plats for the Wyopo Second subdivision, the Smoky Flats subdivision, a re-plat of lots 2 and 4 of the re-plat of lots 1, 2 and 3 of the Ocean View subdivision plus a re-subdivilsion of the re-plat of lots 7A, 7B and 8A of the re-plat of lots 5-8 of the Hickerson subdivision.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the courthouse in Lander with regular business topics.
