(Riverton, Wyo.) – Out-going Central Wyoming College Trustees Caroline Mills and Frank Welty were recognized Wednesday night for their years of service. Both were presented plaques at the start of the Nov. 14 meeting by the rest of the board. Last night was the final meeting for both trustees.

Mills opted earlier this year not to run for re-election. Carlton Underwood was elected in her place. Welty lost re-election to Heather Christensen.

Mills served as chairwoman for the board for the last year. For the two years prior, she was vice chairwoman. She was elected to the position in November 2004. She served in a number of capacities as representatives to CWC BOCHES and the Wyoming Association of Community College Trustees over the years. She attended numerous national conferences on the college’s behalf. Mills was also active in campus events.

Welty was elected to the board representing the Dubois-Crowheart district in November 2008. For the last year, Welty served as Secretary of the board. For a time, he represented the college to the CWC Foundation and CWC BOCHES. Welty, too, participated in state national trustee seminars.
