(Riverton, Wyo.) – A Riverton Boy Scout’s Eagle Scout project is in the home stretch. Kyle Phister, 14,  has placed eight “Giving Trees” around Riverton and he has until Tuesday to have the final 30 gifts purchased and delivered.

Each of the trees is decorated with ornaments that contain a description of a child or parent who will receive a gift on Christmas because of the generosity of the community.

The trees are located at First Interstate Bank, Gales Carpet One, Bank of the West, Profiles Hair Design and Curves, Atlantic City Federal Credit Union, Wyoming National Bank, Fremont Therapy Group, and Central Wyoming College.

Phister indicated he could also use donations of gift boxes or bags, wrapping paper, bows and, of course, cash.
