Police blotter: Arrests in Riverton, Lander and Fremont County

Fremont County Sheriff

Arrests reported in the past 24 hour period that ended at 7 a.m. Friday include: Ryan Hanway, 22, Riverton, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree, Conspirarcy to Commit Aggravated Robbery (See separate story).

Arrests reports Thursday morning: Shane Boren, 33, Riverton, probation revocation.

A call Thursday at 8:18 a.m. had officers scrambling for a short time after a report of a truck’s cargo on fire as it moved through Riverton on North Federal Boulevard. Fortunately, the “fire” turned out to be a broken bag and was just dust from the bag’s contents.


Riverton Police Department

Captain C.T. Smith reported four arrests in the past 24 hours, including: Nathan Mortensen, 32, Riverton, use of a toxic substance (air duster) and possession of a controlled substance (spice); Derek Bagby, 32, Riverton, Domestic violence assault, interfering with a police officer; Anderson Antelope, 50, Riverton, public intoxication; and Ronald Burton, 44, Ethete, public intoxication and disturbing the peace.

Arrests reported Thursday morning included: Kristin Sootkis, 33, Riverton, public intoxication; John Chavez, 29, Riverton, public intoxication; Kincaid Duran, 42, Riverton, public intoxication; Ronald Burton, 44, Ethete, disturbing the peace.


Lander Police Department

Two arrests were reported in the past 24 hours ending at 7 a.m. Friday, including: Bradley Gagner, 49, Lander, driving while under the influence, interference, eluding, careless driving, driving while under suspension; Tina Roberts, 40, Lander, arrested on a Sweetwater County warrant.
