Thursday Police Blotter: Arrests, snowmobile crash on Togwotee Pass
Arrests reported by the RPD include: Kincaid Duran, 42, Riverton, public intoxication; Eldon Antelope, 47, Riverton, public intoxication; Delin Dewey, 37, Riverton, public intoxication; Travis Hagerman, 31, Riverton, domestic violence assault, interfering with a police officer; and Rhea Twobulls, 30, Riverton, assault.
Lander Police Department
Arrests reported by the LPD include: Alfred Shavehead, 56, Fort Washakie, failure to appear, open container, public intoxication; Alice Moss, 41, Lander, assault and battery; 17-year-old juvenile female, Lander, Fremont County warrant; Heather Higinbotham Sharley, 37, Lander, failure to appear; Bambi Stephenson, 31, Lander, public intoxication. Also arrested this week were: Jose Arellano, 22, Riverton, simple assault; and Duane Medicine, 21, Riverton, probation revocation.
Fremont County Sheriff
Fremont County Search and Rescue volunteers from Dubois mobilized Wednesday afternoon in the area of Barber Point on the XA Trail East of Brooks Lake Lodge on Togwotee Pass for a reported snow machine crash. The Sheriff’s Department received the call from Teton County as the 911 emergency call about the crash was received in Jackson and officials there determined the crash was in Fremont County, Sheriff’s Captain David Good in Lander said. Rescue crews reached a man in his early sixties who had been injured after crashing his machine into a tree. The man was taken out of the area via snow machine to an awaiting ambulance with leg and arm injuries. The man’s identity and condition was not available.
A mailbox vandelism was reported at 2:35 Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Chittum Road and Highway 789 near Lander where three mailboxes were knocked over.
