Friday’s Police Blotter: Arrests, stolen truck recovered in Riverton

Lander Police Department

Lt. Chuck Carr reported today there was no change in the condition of a 14 month old toddler who was struck by an SUV Wednesday morning at the Teton Motel parking lot. “The last I heard was the child was still in stable condition at a hospital in Salt Lake City,” Carr said. A report on the crash had not been completed and other details of the incident were not available.

Riverton Police Department

Riverton Police Captain Eric Murphy said Friday police are actively investigating the apparent theft of a pickup from Rocky Mountain Applicators at the corner of East Monroe and South Federal Boulevard. The pickup was later recovered in the parking lot at the Wind River Casino, undamaged.

Murphy also said a shoplifting charge is pending against an individual who tried to leave the Wal-Mart store in Riverton with a $36 container of Tide laundry detergent.
