Police Blotter: arrests, citation for dog at large, shoplifter nabbed with can of tuna
Riverton Police Department
Shauna Dewey, 38, Riverton, arrested for municipal warrants.
Frantasia Maldonado, 23, Riverton, arrested for municipal warrants.
A 24-year-old Riverton resident was cited for dog at large. According to reports, neighbors called the police department about the dog several times. No bites were reported but the dog was constantly seen running around the neighborhood.
There was one report of vandalism, a stop sign at Broadway and Madison was cut down, officers found the sign laying on the ground.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Office
No arrests were reported within the past 24 hours.
Deputies were advised of an incident of property destruction reported in the 2100 block of Squaw Creek Road west of Lander at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday when a resident returned home to find a reported 100 feet or so of a fence that had been knocked down.
Deputies were also advised of an incident of drag racing that occurred on the south end the Eight Mile Road Tuesday evening just after 6:30 p.m.
Lander Police Department
No arrests were reported over the past 24 hours.
Colby West, 18, Lander, was cited for shoplifting. According to Chief Jim Carey of the Lander Police Department, West took a can of tuna worth $1.49 from Mr.D’s.
Two burglaries were reported, the first was on the 1000 block of Black Boulevard and the other was on the 500 block of North 1st Street. Chief Carey says the two burglaries are not connected but they do have suspects in the 1st Street burglary.
