Week 4 Football Rankings Feature New #1
For a second week in a row another #1 ranked team went down.
As expected, Lyman takes over the #1 spot in 2A football after their defeat of previous top dog Lovell. The Bulldogs fall to third this week with Glenrock now second. Newcastle remains fourth with Big Horn fifth. Four teams got #1 votes in 2A this week, Lovell was not one of them. #2 Glenrock has #5 Big Horn and #4 Newcastle, back-to-back on the road, starting this week.
There is very little change in the rest of the rankings.
1A sees Cokeville, Lusk and Southeast at 1-2-3 again, but, Rocky Mountain and Burlington appear at 4th and 5th moving Shoshoni and Pine Bluffs out of the rankings this week. Cokeville goes to Shoshoni Friday afternoon.
Natrona took 17 of 19 top votes and is atop 4A while Powell is a unanimous choice for #1 in 3A with all 24 top votes. Star Valley is now 2nd with Green River third, Douglas falls to fourth with Riverton on the charts at #5. 4A remain the same as last week, and Saturday is the Oil Bowl with #1 NC at #5 Kelly Walsh. 3A does not have any games this week featuring ranked team vs. ranked team.
