Wendell Moss arrested for Friday stabbing in Riverton; Victim is Moss’s older brother
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Stabbing Incident that was reported Friday Afternoon at a mobile home in the 900 block of East Monroe Avenue in Riverton, Undersheriff Ryan Lee said in a news release.
“A 30-year-old Riverton man was found lying outside on the ground bleeding from a single stab wound to the chest,” Lee said. “The victim was later airlifted to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, his condition as of Sunday was stable but critical.”
The victim and other witnesses identified the suspect; they indicated he had fled the area running south. A short time after arriving on scene the suspect was located and arrested. The suspect is identified as the victim’s younger brother, 28-year-old Wendall Moss of Riverton. Moss was detained on a single count of Aggravated Assault and Battery, and jailed.
“The investigation is continuing and it appears as if additional charges will be filed,” Lee said.
