WYDOT: Federal/Monroe reconstruction public meeting set Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Riverton City Hall
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Business owners and citizens are invited to a Tuesday, Feb. 26, public meeting concerning the 2013-14 South Federal Boulevard/Monroe
The public meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. that date in the Riverton City Hall Council Chambers.
The public meeting will focus on the sequence of construction activities and expected traffic movements through the construction zone during 2013 and 2014. Plans for utility, water, storm sewer and intersection improvements will also be explained, according to Robert Scheidemantel, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Riverton.
“This project will be a challenge from a traffic movement standpoint, as more than 20,000 vehicles a day use South Federal Boulevard,” Scheidemantel said. “Traffic movements and the expected disruptive nature of highway, intersection and utility and water improvements will be discussed at this public meeting. Please plan to attend and share your thoughts with WYDOT and the City of Riverton.”
The South Federal Boulevard/Monroe
The intersection of Monroe Avenue and Federal Boulevard was reconstructed in 1970 with asphalt, and it was rebuilt with concrete pavement in 1989. The new project will be built with concrete.
