Commission to discuss 1 percent citizen committee and tour Carnegie remodel tomorrow

(Lander, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Commission is to meet tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. at the Fremont County Courthouse in Lander to discuss a number of issues.

The commission will continue to consider policy regarding financial responsibility in vehicle/equipment wrecks. At 9:15 a.m., Transportation Superintendent Dave Pendleton will give a department report and discuss the possibility of forming a citizen committee to prioritize 1 percent sales tax projects.

County Planner Ray Price will bring a couple subdivision requests before the commission at about 10 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m., City of Lander Community Resource Coordinator Gary Michaud will up date the commission on community center construction funding, including SLIB and CIMPL applications.

Lois Herbst and Jim Smail will be interviewed for the Fremont County Historic Preservation Committee.

At 11:45 a.m., a preliminary budget hearing will be held.

After a break for lunch, Library Director Matt Nojonen will discuss staffing issues and give the commission a tour of the Carnegie remodel project.
