Police Blotter: Arrests: Meth paraphernalia found in Lander motel; 16 arrested in Riverton over the weekend

Ryan Beron, 24, Dubois, Bond Revocation Warrant.
James Crooks, 24, Hudson, Aggravated Battery and Battery Warrant.

Lashelle Shakespeare, 18, St. Stephen’s, Failure to Appear Warrant. At 12:51 p.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a location on the 900 block of East Monroe Street in Riverton after there were three 911 hang-ups. Capt. Ryan Lee said Shakespeare was subsequently arrested and the purpose of the 911 calls were unknown.
Sean Tidzump, 21, Riverton, Probation Revocation Warrant.
Andrew Wempen, 27, Laramie, Driving Under the Influence.
At 11:33 a.m. on Friday, a deputy in Dubois was called for a report of a threat involving a juvenile. The call is under investigation.
At 7:41 p.m. on Friday, deputies were called to the 600 block of Cherry Street in Riverton for a report of a woman driving a Suburban ran a stop sign and was driving at a high rate of the speed. The caller said the driver lives on Green Street. The caller was concerned about children in the area.
At 9:47 p.m. on Friday a woman on Firethorn Lane near Riverton said someone was on top of the roof of her camping trailer. Authorities were unable to locate anyone.
At 10:23 p.m. on Friday, Wind River Police handled a report from a man who said he offered to let some people from the River City Bar drive his car home, but they kicked him out and stole the car and his cell phone.
At 6:23 p.m. on Saturday, deputies took a report from a man on Paradise Valley Road who said he shot a dog that got into his ewes and lambs. The caller did not think it was a fatal shot.
Lander Police Department
Chelsea Calvert, 18, Lander, Failure to Appear Warrant.
Stella Duran, 20, Ethete, Failure to appear LPD Warrant. Duran was arrested following a 8:47 a.m. on Saturday call about an intoxicated woman who showed up at the caller’s Custer Street residence.
Gail St. Clair, 34, Fort Washakie, Driving Under the Influence.
Shanelle Friday, 27, Lander, LPD Warrant.
At 9:50 a.m. on Friday, police were called to the Silver Spur Motel for a report of drug paraphernalia found in a room. The cleaning crew reportedly found a needle and a spoon. Lt. Chuck Carr said the paraphernalia tested positive for methamphetamine. No quantities of the drug were found. Carr said officers have been unable to locate the person who stayed in the room, who was known to be recently incarcerated.
At 11:35 a.m. on Friday, police took a report of littering in the 400 block of Eugene Street. A box spring and wood were dumped in the alley.
Police are assisting the Wind River Police Department in an investigation regarding a firearms theft.
At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a call from a woman on South Fourth Street who said she was stuck inside her apartment and couldn’t get in touch with anyone to let her out.
At 8:13 p.m. on Friday, police took a report from Jefferson Street about a couple high school girls who were reportedly harassing someone via text and phone calls.
At 3:55 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the 100 block of Main Street on the south side alley for a report of three boys lighting fireworks. Police were unable to locate the boys.
LPD was called to the Lander Swimming Pool at 4:49 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a $150 phone and $15.50 in cash stolen from a locker in the men’s room.
At 5:02 p.m., police were called by a father who reported his 11-year-old daughter missing. She was supposed to be at the swimming pool, but later she was found with a friend and shopping for Barbie accessories.
At 9:52 p.m., on Saturday a woman on the 600 block of Market Street called police asking them to take custody of a dog he just bought. The woman said it attacked his other dog. Carr said the woman was informed it was not a police matter and was advised to look into alternative placements for the dog.
At 8:47 a.m. on Sunday, firefighters were called to a small fire on the 200 block of Grand View Drive for a report of a bonfire that had been put out and reignited by wind.
Police are following up on a shoplifting report from Mr. D’s at 6:43 p.m. on Sunday. The woman, who was caught on video, allegedly took a bag of potatoes and barbecue wings. The caller did get the vehicle’s license plate number.
At 6:56 p.m. on Sunday, police took a report of a Subaru that was hit by an unknown vehicle behind the 100 block of Main Street.
