Riverton and Lander physical therapy offices hosting food drive to benefit Care & Share Food Bank
(Riverton, Wyo.) – A local therapy group has joined the efforts of a national organization to fill a local food pantry. Ashlee Kintzler of Teton Therapy says her company is hosting a food drive this month in connection with a national drive by the Feinstein Foundation. The drive could bring in millions nationally because the Foundation will match a percentage of each food item collected.
So, she said, they’ve set a goal of collecting 200 pounds of food each week at both of their clinics. The offices are located at 820 East Main Street in Riverton and at 425 Lincoln Street in Lander. Office hours are 8-5 weekdays. Foods collected in the boxes at each location will be delivered to the Care and Share Food Bank in Lander.
She said donating food for the drive is a great way to help the people in our community who struggle to provide food for their families throughout the winter months. Those most affected by hunger, she said, are the children and the elderly.
Kintzler said the idea was inspired by a simple wish to repay the local community. To hear her explanation, click this link .
