(Dubois, Wyo.) – Togwotee Pass, from roughly Dubois to the eastern boundary of Grand Teton National Park, is closed due to a jack-knifed tanker.
Wyoming Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Cody Beers said Highway 26/287 was closed at 9:28 a.m. this morning for the wreck, which was caused because of inclement weather.
A wrecker from Dubois was unsuccessful in removing the tanker, as the tanker almost tipped over. Beers said a wrecker from Jackson has been called to assist. Several other vehicles, including a Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper, have also become stuck.
A no-unnecessary travel advisory was issued for the pass earlier this morning. Beers did not know when the highway would be reopened.
