Riverton School Board to be presented with $37.2 million budget for FY 2014-15 Tuesday night

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees will be presented with a tentative budget of $37.2 million for the 2014-15 school year at its regular meeting Tuesday night at the District’s Central Office on North 5th East. Of that amount, salaries and benefits for district staff are $30.4 million of the total.

In action items, the trustees will be asked to approve three out-of-state travel requests, for the RHS Key Club to the international convention in Anaheim, Calif., in June, for the RHS football team to participate in the Black Hills State College Football Camp in June, and for the Speech and Debate team from RHS to attend the national tournament in Kansas City, also in June.

Early graduation requests have been received from Amy Lawson and Janis Lawson after completion of the fall semester in 2014-15, and retirement requests were brought forward from Jackson Speech-Language Pathologist Sue Cessna and Rendezvous Para Theresa Cunningham effecting at the end of this school year, and from Rendezvous Music Teacher Pat LeMasters on August 8th, 2014. Other resignations have been received from Zach Even as the Aspen Park Art Teacher and from Kendra Wright from Ashgrove School’s 1st grade.
