Two deaths recorded over the weekend; Pavillion woman’s death ruled accidental
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Two deaths were reported over the weekend in Fremont County where the cause of death was not immediately apparent.
Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Stratmoen said a 51-year-old Lander man was found dead Saturday morning, “but there was nothing overtly suspicious, and it was probably natural.” An autopsy is not planned, but some toxicology tests will be run, Stratmoen said. The man’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of relatives.
In a second case, a 31-year-old man of Riverton died at SageWest Health Center at Riverton (formerly Riverton Memorial Hospital). “Again this is probably a natural death, but that is pending results of toxicology tests. No autopsy is planned, Stratmoen said. The man died late Saturday night at the hospital.
Stratmoen also released results from an autopsy in the death of 31-year-old Carrie J. Hanger of Pavillion on March 13th of this year. Toxicology studies revealed the death was due to Oxycodone intoxication. The death was ruled accidental.
