Riverton Council to act on airport cafe contract, FORCC recommendations and Farmer’s Market location tonight
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Riverton’s City Council tonight will be asked to act on a number of action items, including a recommendation for a new operator at the Airport Cafe.
Fullmer’s Fat Boy Restaurant is being recommended to re-open the cafe, which the former owners abruptly closed in March and walked away from their lease with the city. Fullmer’s Fat Boy was one of four food service providers who applied to run the restaurant, which is now being cleaned and painted, among other minor fixes.
Councilors will be asked to act on a one percent tax funded street project proposed by the city’s For Our Roads Citizens Committee, or FORCC. The council will consider a request to place the Farmer’s Market along the Rails to Trails Pathway adjacent to Pershing Boulevard and behind city hall. An update and a request from the Central Wyoming Skateboard Association will also be on the agenda, in addition to the consent agenda which includes one catering permit application. That is from the Caterer’s for the Leadership Fremont County Graduation Ceremony at the Fremont Center on June 6th.
The meeting is open to the public and begins with a pre meeting at 6:45 and the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m.
