Saturday work planned on South Federal; Dirt work to continue Monday on Riverview

(Riverton, Wyo,) – The Wyoming Department of Transportation has issued it’s weekly update on the two major highway improvement projects here. The update is copied below:
Federal Boulevard/Monroe Avenue update:
Installation of storm sewer and other work will continue Saturday, May 10, as Archer Construction crews are scheduled to work Saturday.
Installation of storm sewer is scheduled to be complete early this coming week, as crews continue to advance about 70 feet per day.
Work is scheduled to continue to the new traffic signal in the Federal/Monroe intersection; crews are still planning to close the east half of the Federal/Monroe intersection after Memorial Day, and improvements will begin there.All businesses are open along Federal Boulevard, and Archer Construction continues to maintain accesses to all businesses.

Drivers are reminded of the reduced 25 mph speed limit through the project work zone, and the 10-foot width restriction.Riverview Road update:
No work is scheduled Saturday, but Jerry Bornhoft Construction, Inc., plans to resume dirt work west of the Hill Street intersection with Riverview Road on Monday.

Road widening is scheduled to continue until Bornhoft is finished, so installation of the new water line may begin. Other work in the coming week will include installation of new water services east of the Riverton Valley Irrigation Canal.
