Power line comes down in East Lander, no injuries, one customer without power

(Lander, Wyo.) – A Rocky Mountain Power line came down at Fremont Motors in the 500 block of East Main at about 3:30 p.m. One power customer has lost power, momentarily. A repair crew is en route to fix the problem, said Paul Murphy at Rocky Mountain Power’s Salt Lake City media center.

The downed power line is draped over a pickup at the scene. It’s possible the downed line was due to a wind gust. There was no high profile vehicle in the area to strike the line. Murphy said the line that came down was the “low line” which he said was the lowest line on the power pole.

There were no injuries. The Lander Volunteer Fire Department is standing by.
