Summer Food Program in Riverton Feeds Kids For Free; Meals served at Rendezvous School
(Riverton, Wyo.) – With summer right here, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. Fremont County School District #25 provides free meals to children while elementary summer school is in session. This summer, free breakfast and free lunch will be served at Rendezvous Elementary School, 413 North 4th West, now through June 27; Monday – Friday, and from July 14 – August 8, Monday – Thursday. During these summer school sessions breakfast will be served at 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m.-1:00 p.m. There will be no meal service on August 4th & August 5th.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Fremont County School District #25 to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child from 1 to 18 years old may come to eat, even if they are not attending summer school.
