Best Little Brew Fest in the West: Starts Tomorrow!

(Lander, Wyo.) – Never a dull moment at the Lander Area Chamber of Commerce… extra-especially the week of the 2014 Fremont Toyota Lander Brew Fest. Staff are co-locating industrial-sized paper-cutting lasers to hyper-perforate 1000 sheets of 2-up festival programs. The conference room printer is humming louder than Associate Director Carol King’s Darius Rucker Pandora station. We are phoning late-entry brewer entries to clarify what they mean by “tettnangs.” (Evidently the brewers are not, in fact, referring to the second release of the Linux operating system Fedora. Who knew.) Executive Director Brian Fabel has just returned from the weekly Rotarian luncheon – after hosting a Lander Brew Fest History Trivia Game — showcasing the soon-to-be famous “Fabelfare” radio-personality voice. Chamber board emeritus and volunteer Barb Speyer is mass-collating convention and vacation packets for the incoming summer visitors – and quickly earning the title of the office Printer/Copier Whisperer. This year’s Brew Fest truly is the kick-off of summer.

Here are a few of the popular phrases we’re fielding, wielding, and/or asking during gauntlet-week in the Lander Area Chamber office:
“Record-shattering online ticket sales numbers! Those people not waiting in line are wicked smart.”
“The Lander Brew Fest starts this Friday at 5pm at the soccer fields on Baldwin Creek road. You should buy tickets at the Chamber or online and skip the long lines!”
“‘Golfing with the Brewers’ Saturday morning is going to be the bestest newest un-kept secret event on Saturday morning. I am so excited there’s a place to get tickets online. How many spots are left?”
“It is Wednesday! Yay 2014 Lander Brew Fest t-shirts come today!”
And perhaps the most urgent afternoon question: “Exactly how many steps away is the Scream Shack from my desk?”
See you and your friends this Friday and Saturday!

One. More. Sleep.
