Riverton man charged with sexual abuse of a minor in Casper court
(Casper, Wyo.) – Charles Black, a Riverton resident, has pleaded not guilty to sexual abuse of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor in the Seventh District Court of Wyoming in Casper.
According to the affidavit, Black had been staying at a hotel and was married to the victim’s aunt when the alleged assault occurred.
After the alleged assault, officers were able to record a statement from Black using surveillance equipment to record a conversation between the victim, about a possible child as the result of the assault, the affidavit states.
Black could receive a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and 12 years if convicted of sexual exploitation.
He is currently being held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.
