File in terroristic threats case placed under gag order
(Lander, Wyo.) – The file in the case against John Joseph Cardine, a Lander man charged with making terroristic threats against subjects at the Wyoming Life Resource Center, has been placed under a temporary gag order.
The gag order, reportedly filed by Cardine’s defense team, was put in place in late May. The order prevents the public from looking at the case file. It is unknown when the gag order could be lifted.
Cardine was scheduled for pre-trial conference in Wyoming’s Ninth District Court in Lander for Thursday morning, June 5. However the hearing was continued to a later date.
The charge of Terroristic Threats was filed in February, and Cardine has since pleaded not guilty. He is currently under house arrest, one of the conditions of his bond. Read background on the case here.
