St. Stephen’s man charged with allegedly beating and threatening to kill a woman
(Hudson, Wyo.) – A 50-year-old St. Stephen’s man has been charged with Aggravated Assault following a report of a physical attack on a woman.
According to Fremont County Undersheriff Ryan Lee, deputies were initially called to a Hudson home Sunday afternoon regarding a woman that James Bias had allegedly attacked. The woman was reportedly found to have a head injury, a broken toe and a laceration on her back.
“According to the victim she was at Bias’ residence when a verbal argument ensued,” Lee said. “The victim indicated she and Bias became involved in an altercation and Bias struck her in the head with a cane. The victim stated that she was knocked to the ground and attacked further. The victim then indicated that Bias produced a knife and threatened to kill her. The woman said she attempted to flee the area and was at that time sliced in the back with the knife. The woman was able to reach a vehicle and flee to a residence in Hudson at which point the Sheriff’s Office was notified.”
Bias was arrested without incident.
