Riverton council to decide trash pick-up schedule tonight; Recommendation is 4-days a week
(Riverton, Wyo.) – There will be a lot of trash talking tonight at the Riverton City Council’s regular meeting as the topic of changing the city’s garbage pickup will be decided. A city staff report recommends going to all 45-gallon roll-out containers system for residential customers, replacing alley dumpsters. The recommendation was made by a task force studying the issue. See that report here.
Just as he did last week before the Lander City Council, Fremont County Emergency Medical Services Director Joe Zelmer will give the Riverton Counselors an update on changes being made by the ambulance service as a result of budget restrictions.
Police Chief Mike Broadhead is also scheduled to present a report on the city’s public intoxication situation and a bid for an overlay on Pure Gas Road proposed by the For Our Roads Citizens Committee using optional one cent tax funds will be heard.
The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. with a pre-meeting. The regular session convenes at 7 p.m.
