Statewide race results are in; Mead, Murray and Balow all move on

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) – Unofficial statewide race total are now in and reported by the Secretary of State’s Office.

Incumbent U.S. Senator Mike Enzi won the Republican nomination for the general election today. Charlie Hardy won the Democratic nomination.

Republican U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis won her party’s primary; she’ll face Democrat Richard Grayson in the general.

Incumbent Gov. Matt Mead won the right to be the Republican nominee in November. He’ll compete against Democrat Pete Gosar.

Republican Ed Murray squeaked out a win against Ed Buchanan. There was no Democratic candidate running, however 700 write-ins were received.

State Auditor Cynthia Cloud was unopposed. State Treasurer Mark Gordon beat competitor Ron Redo for the Republican nomination.

Republican Jillian Balow beat out Sheryl Lain and Bill Winney for State Superintendent of Public Instruction. She’ll run against Democrat Mike Ceballos in November.
