Memorial & Celebration Service for Noah and Zephy Van Dijk held today
(Lander, Wyo) – Lost in a tragic fire at their home in July, Noah and Zephy Van Dijk were remembered today at their Memorial & Celebration Service not only by the hundreds in attendance, but a greater community that is still mourning their loss and showing support for the Van Dijk family.
The service at Central Wyoming College’s Sinks Canyon Center included touching tributes by the Evangelical Free Church Children’s Choir (singing “Jesus Loves Me”, pictured) and memories of the boys recounted by the boy’s grandfather Rien van Dijk. The most poignant moment of the service came when Noelle (mother) and Feike (father) released two white balloons with rainbow colored ribbons to the heavens. Rainbows, specifically double-rainbows, have been a powerful symbol to the family these past weeks.
