Veterans assistance in Teton and Fremont counties available in September
CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A state of Wyoming veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct community outreach services in Wyoming cities throughout September.
Lori McGee is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans’ benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs claims, or VA healthcare. McGee can also help veterans and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request healthcare. Her office is located at the Lander National Guard Armory, 31 Leedy Drive, in Lander, and she will also be available at the following locations:
— Riverton – Sept. 3, 10, 15, 24 and 29, at the Riverton VA Clinic, 2300 Rose Lane, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Sept. 18, at the Central Wyoming College
Student Success Center, 2660 Peck Ave., from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
— Dubois – Sept. 11, at the High Country Senior Center, 504 Hays St., from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
— Jackson – Sept. 12, at the Jackson Workforce Center, 155 W. Gill Ave., from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
— Shoshoni – Sept. 23, at the Shoshoni Senior Citizen’s Center, 209 Main, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
— Lander – Most weekdays by appointment at the Lander National Guard Armory, 31 Leedy Drive.
During periods of inclement weather, please check with the staff at the outreach locations to ensure the veterans service officer will be available.
Outreach may be scheduled in Riverton, Dubois, Jackson and all other Fremont and Teton communities by appointment.
