Due to weather, tonight’s Hot Notes concert changes venue

(Lander, Wyo.) – Due to the high likelihood of inclement weather, tonight’s Hot Notes, Cool Nights season finale scheduled for the Lander Outdoor Theater has been moved to the LVHS Auditorium. The concert will begin at 7 PM and features the Globe Saxophone Quartet as guest artists.

Four internationally renowned saxophonists—Rhett Bender, Jennifer Turpen, Scott Turpen and John Bleuel—join together to form the Globe Saxophone Quartet. The group began playing together in 1994 as graduate students at the University of Georgia. The quartet members are professors of saxophone at universities in Georgia, Oregon and Wyoming.

GSQ concerts feature the beautiful and multi-faceted timbre of four saxophones, with musical styles running the gamut of classical, jazz and world music. Members of the Globe Saxophone Quartet are Yamaha Performing Artists and perform on Rousseau Mouthpieces.
