The annual Fly-in and Car Show is Saturday at Hunt Field Airport in Lander

(Lander, Wyo.) – The Annual Fly-in and Car Show is scheduled for September 6 at the Hunt Field Airport in Lander, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. with FREE admission. Start the day with a pancake breakfast ($5), and then view the antique and experimental planes plus a collection of antique and muscle cars.

Three aerobatic pilots will perform with their favorite planes! Todd Therp will fly a Pitts Special S2B at 9 a.m., Brad Wursten will fly a MXSR at 9:30 a.m., and at 10 a.m. Danny Sorensen will fly a Sorensen BF9-2 which he designed and built. It’s a 1930s style biplane. Danny has built a model replica of his plane which he will give to some lucky kid. His aerobatic routine will last 10 minutes.

After the aerobatic show, watch the Model Jet Demo.  Don’t miss the Spot Landing and Flour Bombing contests starting at 11 a.m.

Adventurous Young Eagles (ages 8-18) can sign up for flights on Saturday to go up on Sunday. And there’s lots more action with FREE tethered balloon rides, prizes, and T-shirts and hats for sale.
