Pavillion Student named a Semifinalist in a National Science Award Program

(Pavillion, Wyo.) – A Wind River Middle School Science Fair winner has been named a semi-finalist in the 2015 Broadcom MASTERS® a program of Society for Science & the Public.  This honor places Sean White among a select group of 300 semifinalists named from over 6,000 nominees throughout the United States,” according to a news release.

“The next step takes place on September 2, 2015 when 30 finalists will be selected from the 300 semifinalists.  Finalists and one parent or guardian will receive an all-expensepaid trip to Silicon Valley, California to attend the Broadcom MASTERS Finals Week competition from October 1 to 7, 2015.  Finalists will present their research and compete in hands-on challenges for top prizes, including funds to attend a STEM summer camp, iPads, and the Samueli Prize of $25,000.”

White was a first place winner at the Wyoming State Science Fair Junior Division in microbiology this past school year.
