Lillian M. (Zednick) Barnett, 82 of Lander WY passed on to her heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. She had been a resident there since February of this year and succumbed to complications from pneumonia, COPD, and end stage rheumatoid arthritis. The first funeral service will be held on Sat. Nov. 14 in Lander, WY at Hudsons Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with viewing and visitation one hour before the service. The second service will be held on Sat. Nov. 21 in Wilber, NE at Kuncel Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with viewing and visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Wilber Cemetery next to her parents.
Grant Wendell Gray, 93, of Lander, Wyoming passed away November 4, 2015 at Kindred Wind River nursing home in Riverton, Wyoming. His health had declined after breaking a hip in late August and suffering a bout of pneumonia in September.
Melvin William Anderson, 77, passed away Sunday morning, November 1, 2015 at 11:01 a.m. at the Wyoming Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Ruth A McKee, age 104, passed away on November 3rd, 2015 in Lander, Wyoming. The funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, November 9th at Faith Lutheran Church, 1600 Sinks Canyon Road, Lander, Wyoming.
Leslie Frances Teresa van den Barselaar was born in Boston, Massachusetts on Jan 23, 1952 and grew up in Dorchester, daughter of Arie van den Barselaar and Edith Leslie. It was not an easy childhood for Les and her younger sister, Susan. The family struggled with health and money issues and coped by denial, telling the kids everything was fine.
Winter is on its way, again. A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for the mountains of Northwest Wyoming from late this morning through Tuesday. The National Weather Service Forecast Office at Riverton Regional Airport said moderate to occasionally heavy snowfall will occur in the Western mountains above 7500 feet. Gusty Southwest Winds increaseing to 20 t0 30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH will occur across portions of Southern and Central Wyoming.
The second annual “Halloween Night at the Museum” at the Fremont County Pioneer Museum was a spooky success this past Saturday with over 700 county residents attending.
(Lander, Wyo.) – District 54 State Representative Lloyd Larsen gave Lander Rotarians a more than two-hour long presentation today that he condensed down to 15 minutes about the future of the Wyoming Life Resource Center. “It’s a very complex issue,” he said. Larsen, and State Senator Cale Case, gave a similar presentation last week at the Lander LEADER meeting.

Bernard George (Bernie) Berger , of Lander, Wyoming passed away October 22, 2015. A memorial service for the family will follow in the future.
