Lander Parks and Recreation would like to thank Altitude Interiors in Lander for bringing you this content.

Last weekend was met with a very successful “soft opening” of Lander’s new rec center, Alpha Recreation Center (ARC). A select group of families received a VIP tour of the facilities prior to the official opening of the facility.

“Everyone loved it and were amazed and impressed by everything,” explained Nanette L. Meredith, non-profit grant writer with Alpha Recreation Center (ARC). “We received such incredible, positive feedback.”

Touring the facility was met with ooh’s and aahhh’s at every turn. Let’s begin…

Zone 1 – Kids Play-Place

At the Treehouse, children climbed, bumbled, and scooted their way to the top level to scout the premises.

Meanwhile, down at the Bitsy Market fresh, plastic fruits and veggies were sold.

Downtown Itsy-Bitsyville, participants strolled down Diddle Drive on their way to the Post Office.

This little one was in a bit of a rush to take baby to see the animals at the Barn!

And what would a rec center be without a ball pit?!

While the kids were burning off some extra energy, moms Refueled at the coffee bar.

Zone 2 – The Commons

As the children are entertained in the indoor playground, teens and adults have their own place to play. The game area sports a refuel station (café), air hockey, foosball, pool tables, plush leather couches, and more!

With the completion of Zone 1 and 2, and after the tremendous feedback received from the soft opening, ARC is anxious to share with the community its progress!

All are invited to attend their Grand Opening Friday, March 16th, 2018 from 4-8pm. Be sure to enter their raffle – You could win a free membership or perhaps a party rental!

In the meantime, we’re left to cyber stalking their Facebook page for updates. For details on Zones 3 and 4, as well as pricing and how to donate, click here.
